The soft smoky eye at Richard Chai was hazy and grungy, yet ethereal. I am into it in a big way. Skin was prepped with Aucoin's the primed skin developer, followed by the sensual skin enhancer (which is kind of amazing... it contains jojoba which hydrates skin, but it is also highly pigmented, which means it provides full coverage and still allows your skin to look natural. It can be used as foundation, but it this case it was used as a concealer) and then the liquid airbrush foundation (which actually isn't an airbrush and thank goodness - they are such a pain).
Water lines (both bottom and top) were lined with the eye pencil prematif in basic black. You have to really get the water line going to achieve this look. My favorite tip for doing this is: dry your water line with a Q-tip and then immediately apply a pencil liner before allowing your water line to touch your eye and get wet again. It's honestly the only way this actually works. Ta-da... so easy, you're welcome!
Next, Romy created a shimmery, velvety cloud of shadow, which was reflective of the texture and graphic prints seen in Richard's collection. "The green shadow was high shine, which is also seen in the clothing and the liner adds a graphic element".
The loose shimmer shadow in jade was essential in bringing the look together. Romy used her finger to apply to the top lip and then wet a small brush to apply a fairly solid line on the lower lid.
Brows were brushed upwards and filled in with the precision brow pencil in brunette. Next, two/three coats of the essential mascara were used, with drying time in-between applications to achieve a chunkier lash.
Lastly, the sensual lip balm was applied and... now you are Tanya K.
