Hi guys. I know, I know, I owe you an update on the breakup I spoke of endlessly last year. It's coming. Just know that I read every single one of your emails and must say you are totally adorable to still wonder about it. Thank you for justifying my wondering haha. Fortunately, it hasn't been my focus the past few weeks. And I can't say I regret keeping those feelings to myself. It was a year full of self discovery and I know I sounded insane at times, so at least there is no public record of it. Ha.

Breakups are so intense and bizarre. Like most girls, I went through a bunch of crazy phases. I think somewhere between the "denial" and "negotiating" stages I added in my own little self medicating chapter where I went to the gym all day (but only did squats, weird, I know.), binged on pizza every single night, and wore booty shorts exclusively. Yes, the gym became my job. Pizza, my boyfriend... and I don't really know what the booty shorts were about.  I mean I couldn't even look at a dude, let alone speak to one, but for whatever reason I still preferred to wear little to no clothing while I attempted to eat my feelings away.

Now, a year later and in the middle of fashion month, I’ve partnered with Express and feel like I have truly evolved. I put some clothes on, I'm standing on my own two feet, and embracing the time alone.

This past weekend I attended my cousin Kayla's Wedding. And felt ever-so chic in this black jumpsuit from Express. It's the perfect combination of elegant and avant-garde. Sexy, yet subtle. A long sleeve jumpsuit is always a strong look and it suits my long awaited, "confident phase" nicely.
