Katie Durko is a California beach babe with model-long legs, cool-kid style, and a thing for social media. The former Burberry PR girl packed up her trench coats and shipped herself to LA, where she is busy uploading, filtering, and liking everything Trendabl. Trendabl is an app for the fashion-obsessed. I like to think of it as Instagram for your outfits. But unlike Insta, it's fashion and fashion only, which is perfect for those of us who have no interest in knowing what our friends ate for lunch. It's also perfect for those of us that feel the need to post every single product we are eyeing and buying... (aka Pinterest enthusiasts, you are going to fall in LUST). Katie is the voice of Trendabl, and with over 620k followers (in literally no time at all), I had to get the scoop straight from this social media star.

Barneys NY @barneysny - They always post the latest arrivals to the store, which is super healthy for my already problematic shopping addiction.

Harpers Bazaar @harpersbazaarus - They often post sneak peeks and behind the scenes photos of what’s to come in their next issue.
Nicky Hilton @nickyhilton - Her personal style is similar to mine, so it’s fun to see how she puts her looks together. Her handbag and shoe collections are insane!
LnA @lnaclothing - They make the perfect tees and the comfiest sweaters. Being a west coast native myself, I love the Cali vibe of their collections.
Chan Luu @chanluu – They seriously have the best bling in the business. Never leave my house without at least one piece on!
AIWL: How can we get as many followers as you? Twitter? Insta? Trendabl? No but for real!
Katie: Try to maintain consistency and don’t let days or weeks pass between your posts/tweets. Also, a little humor can go a long way – entertaining captions are key.
The more products in a pic, the better. Think arm parties, shoe closets... more is more!
Use hashtags. This is a great way to connect to people with similar interests and to increase the visibility of your posts.
Consider following “suggested/recommended users.” Following users that have similar interests to you may encourage them to follow you in return.
Use a filter. Play around with different filters and crops to make even the simplest image pop.
AIWL: How many selfies are too many?
Katie: I think we are all a little guilty of over sharing on social networking sites (Cara Delevingne being my personal fave selfie master). But the great thing about Trendabl is that you can never have too many selfies. The whole point of our app is to show off what your style, so those totally awesome bathroom-mirror selfies are 100% acceptable, just remember to tag what you are wearing.
AIWL: Where else can we stalk you?
Katie: Besides Trendabl, Instagram is by far my biggest addiction. Sometimes I even find myself waking up in the middle of the night to check my feed – just in case I missed something major (like what my friends ate for dinner or what the sunrise looks like in NYC, j/k, no but really…) @ktdurko
