Ok, I have never been a "nail art" person. In fact, I would love to think of myself as a HIPPXRGB kinda gal. I mean to each their own, but I always think back to an article Lauren Santo Domingo did for Into the Gloss and her "thoughts" on a manicure really struck a chord with me. She said, "If you see me with a manicure, it means you must be the Queen of England. I can’t sit still that long. So I just go au naturale. I always feel really dorky with a manicure, to be honest. It feels so contrived." Uhm, totally and while, I am not as cool as LSD and I still love having my nails done in a nude, classic red or even black, I totally cringe at the idea of a palm tree or a bow or whatever other nail art options are. Anyway, to be a good blogger I journeyed outside my comfort zone and made my sweet little nail girl's day allowing her to add glitter to my nails for NYE! We used Essie Nice is Nice, followed by Essie Set in Stones, which we scattered randomly. Ok, fine... I already took it off, but I will admit it felt very festive while it lasted. What do you think? kisses xb
