AND I WAS LIKE

Howdy Texas!

Howdy babes! Can I say that? Too soon? No? I’m just going to roll with it. I mean, I am bringing cowboy hats back (*trying to*). I just got back to NYC after being in Dallas, Texas for almost a week looking at places for Mike to live. If you are new around here, Mike is my boyfriend and a plastic surgery resident in NYC. In a few months, he has to move (across country) to Dallas for his fellowship in facial cosmetic surgery. If we are engaged, I’ll go, but if not it’ll just be lil ole me in NYC! No pressure AT ALL Mike. Hahah Jk!

Anyways, back to my trip in Dallas. We stayed at the Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek and it was a dream. I’d love to just become a permanent resident there. Is that too much to ask?! At the Mansion bar, they have some of the best bites. My favorite was defiantly the sliders. OH, and  I officially tried Tex-Mex. People are always saying that NYC is lacking good Mexican food and I never really agreed with that statement, well, until now. I had my first Mambo Taxi at Mi Cocina (IYKYK) and I must say, I loved it!

Mike and I toured several apartment buildings while we were there and to be honest, I cared mostly about if the apartments had good lighting, a place for my wine and a nice swimming pool. Whereas Mike could be happy anywhere with a nice gym. Opposites attract, right?! I really did not think that I could see myself living in Dallas, but after going I think I might like it y’all (yes, I am now saying y’all). So please please send any living recs or things to do down there because your girl just *might* be moving to Texas. I guess then I’ll learn why you don’t mess with Texas?! I don’t know, stay tuned! Xx, B
