and best lips goes to.... could Rosie be any more perfect? One thing this girl is religious about is keeping her lips in tip top condition. Wouldn't you be? Those money makers are killing it. She, along with just about every makeup artist I have ever met, swears by Lucas' Papaw Ointment. Like models and most industry people, I am always fighting the fight against dehydration. I think I fluctuate between a little dehydrated (need a raw coconut water) and seriously dehydrated (hook me up to an IV). I honestly have to dedicate days to detox and hydration. It's all about balance people! Anyway, and this is important so maybe read it twice...your lips are a HUGE indicator to how hydrated or dry your skin is! Sadly, my lips are often chapped (aka my skin is thirsty). Luckily, my girlfriend Annie taught me to use a dull toothbrush and literally brush my lips with it to exfoliate the dead skin. Then I apply the Lucas' Papaw Ointment and I am good to go. It's basically the Aussie version of Aquaphor, and in my opinion a total upgrade. Lucas' isn't as thick or as goopy as Aquaphor. Aussies seriously get it. It's been around for 100+ years and costs around $14.00, so there is no excuse to step foot on another airplane without it. The Lucas' papaw ointment is also amazing if you apply a thin layer and then a matte lipstick. In this case it works as a primer and hides the natural cracks in your lips.
Speaking of Rosie lips. We all know that rose colored lipsticks and glosses can be the perfect go to's for spring and fall. They are obvi a top choice before transitioning into a nude or a bright for summer or a more bold color for fall. But come on, rose lips are not exclusive to certain seasons, especially if you have fair skin, in which case you probably look super chic in blue hues and could be rocking the roses all year round. I recently realized how pretty these deep rose shades look with all the chambray, every girl I know has been living in for about a year now. Try it, it's adorable.
