Ready or not... it's time for legs. Uhm, I basically took the month of April off from the gym and it was probably my worst idea yet. Whenever I take off more than 2 weeks, it's so painful to go back. The only real solution to this problem is a week's worth of classes. I say at least 3 classes (within 7 days). Otherwise, you'll try to run on the treadmill and find yourself laying on the gym floor shopping on the Net-a-Porter App and whining to your friends via text, about how gross you feel. Here's what I do to motivate: I pay other people to motivate me. The week looks like this: two barre method classes (or one barre and one spin class) and then a Barry's Bootcamp. The first class will suck, but by the second you are so grossed out with yourself (and your lack of endurance) that it becomes surprisingly motivating and by the third class... you are back. And the trick to ensure you won't skip? Sign up the day before... when I wait til the day-of, that evil fat girl that lives in my brain always comes up with excuses and all of a sudden it's 9 p.m. and I haven't worked out. We gotta get it together and quick. Memorial Day is practically tomorrow and there are way too many good skirts to miss out.
