Happy girls are the prettiest girls

I have met and worked with a lot of celebrities throughout my fashion career and I can honestly say that when it comes to being authentic and sweet, Drew Barrymore takes the cake. I mean, she has been famous her entire life and is still somehow more down to earth than I am! lol. Drew is also smart, funny, thoughtful and lucky for us incredibly passionate about empowering women and making them feel beautiful! I recently sat down with Drew and we talked about her cosmetics line Flower (which I relied on solely for these photos and you can shop below). The brand prides itself in using the same ingredients used in luxury make-up, but is offered at an affordable price. Who better than a women that grew up in a makeup chair to figure it out! Drew is literally beautiful inside and out, and so I asked "where she gets her confidence" and she let me in on the coolest story... "I've learned the lesson that insecurity is not an option. It just isn't. When I was a late teenager, I had a boyfriend who cheated on me and I remember feeling so bad about myself... I felt shame. And I remember blaming myself, like why am I not enough? She must be SO great and I'm just not enough. And then I thought, what if I decided to never think this way again? And what if I decided that: I am what I am and for someone, that will be enough for them? I don't want to have to morph myself into this phantom standard, so instead of being jealous and suspicious that every guy would do that same thing to me, I decided that nope, who I am will be enough for someone. someday. It was a real script flip and it changed the rest of my life in such a positive way.
