AND I WAS LIKE

Doin it dirty

A few weeks ago I received an email from St. Ives, asking if I would be interested in joining the St. Ives team for a 5 mile mud race. And I was like... "what the hell is a mud race"?  The email went on to talk about how "Mudderella" is a super high-energy,  empowering, women's race, and all about challenging your limits and supporting the other girls around you. Ok, so mud isn't really my thing, but the reason I write this blog is to help out other women. AND... I had been promising to add fitness to the site. So for better or worse, I was in.

I dragged my girlfriend Andi there on a Saturday, ok fine... she dragged me... we did a little warm up, listened to inspiring words, Katy Perry music... "Roar" or something to that effect, and two minutes later... it was pouring rain and we were up to our waists in mud...

Thank God my shoes matched the team shirts... clearly very important ;)

Some of the challenges were easy and some... well, some ended in a pool of mud.

Dear God... who am I?!

I won't lie I have never wanted a shower so badly in my life. Thank God St. Ives had set up a wash and rinse "spa" if you will, with their shea butter body washcoconut milk and orchard extract hydrating lotion and one of the very first skin products I have ever ownedFresh Skin Apricot Scrub

And even though it took me three full showers to get the mud out of my hair I wouldn't change anything about this incredible experience . To be honest, I cannot remember the last time I laughed so hard.

Mudderella was all about accepting the challenge of being "ok", while stepping into an uncomfortable situation. Taking a leap, trusting, and laughing at yourself along the way. Now that is beautiful! Thank you St. Ives and Andi! #LiveRadiantly xxB
