Is there anything chicer than a monochromatic look? I think not. Inspired by the colors from Celine's Fall 2013 runway, I find myself living in full looks of navy, soft greys, pale pinks and everything cream. I find that the easiest way to make this work is by mixing textures. For example, my cream sweater is angora and my pants are leather or maybe your blouse is navy silk and you pair it with a navy wool skirt. Ta-da. I also prefer my shoe to be a different color than my look, but in the likes of Phoebe Philo, I am keeping the contrast slight and the colors soft. By adding my Jenni Kayne pony hair printed leopard mules, it adds a touch of color, but isn't harsh like black would be. It's fairly simple, but it's seriously chic.
